Protective equipment to Pattaya City Hospital donated

On Thursday 9. September 2021 the Rotary Club of Pattaya donated protective equipment PAPR (Powered air-purifying respirators) to be used by the staff of Pattaya City Hospital, in Soi Buakhao. The hospital staff are at high health risk during the Covid-19 pandemic and this equipment will help to protect themselves in the high risk areas of the hospital.

About PAPR

A PAPR is an air-purifying respirator that uses a blower to force air through filter cartridges into the wearer’s breathing zone. It creates an airflow in a loose fitting hood. A PAPR offers a higher Assigned Protection Factor (APF) than the reusable elastomeric non-powered air-purifying half mask commonly used. A PAPR can be used for healthcare protection where healthcare providers are exposed to greater risks from aerosolized pathogens that cause acute respiratory infections, such as with COVID-19.
